Upward Bound is a program offered by the University of Cincinnati Clermont and funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The goal is to provide the necessary skills to high school students so they may become successful college students.
What does Upward Bound offer?
Advising Services:

- Locating financial aid
- Scholastic testing
Career Services:
- Career selection
- Exploration of jobs
- Skill testing
Experiential Services:
- College visits and field trips
- Saturday workshops
- Summer Academy
- Tutoring

Summer Bridge Scholarship
Two free classes at UC Clermont immediately after graduation
Who is Eligible?
- High school freshmen through juniors at select schools
- Age 13 - 19
- Be in the first generation in your family to go to college.
- Meet income requirements.
How do you sign up?
- Meet with your school guidance counselor.
- Call the Upward Bound office at (513) 558-7432.
- Request an application.
Think about Upward Bound!
Upward Bound at UC Clermont started in 1995 to offer local students an opportunity to explore career options and prepare for college enrollment. To date more than 100 students have enjoyed the chance to have fun, experience new challenges and enhance their chances at success in college.
