Admission Requirements

This program is open to all students with a high school diploma or GED. Although admission is open, students accepted into the program must meet the academic standards of the program to advance to upper levels of study. Interested students should meet with a UC Clermont College Advising staff member for appropriate advising. Please note: In order to obtain this certificate, 50 percent or more of the required coursework must be taken from UC Clermont.

To succeed in a software productivity career, you should be well organized, be proficient in the use of business productivity software and be able to able to coordinate several activities at once.

Regulations published in the Federal Register on October 29, 2010, require institutions to report certain information about students who enrolled in Title IV eligible educational programs that lead to gainful employment in a recognized occupation (GE programs). This online certificate is approved for financial aid, dependent on student eligibility. Course scheduling is flexible as students may attend full time or part time with admission into the certificate program in any semester (fall, spring or summer).

Microsoft Office Specialist certification (MOS) is the globally recognized standard for validating expertise with the Microsoft Office suite of business productivity applications. This certification gives both job applicants and employees proof of their productivity, and therefore, a head start in a competitive market for jobs and promotions. UC Clermont is an authorized testing center for this certification.
