What is Manufacturing Engineering Technology?

Manufacturing encompasses all aspects of producing manufactured goods; from design concepts to product delivery. It includes anything that is made; from microscopic nanobots to Boeing 777s, from pencils to dialysis machines and from contact lenses to designer jeans. Manufacturing constantly strives to improve the equipment, processes, and materials used to produce goods as well as promoting production sustainability.

Admission Requirements

This program is open to all students with a high school diploma or GED and the desire to succeed in college. Although admission is open, students accepted into the program must meet the academic standards of the program to advance to upper levels of study.

We recommend a basic understanding of drafting. You will also find mechanical experience and blueprint reading helpful.

To succeed in the field, you need attention to detail, good communication skills, and should be a well-organized logical thinker. You should also be curious about how things work and how they are made.
The UC Clermont Manufacturing Certificate program is designed to open doors for you to a career in manufacturing. Skilled workers in Manufacturing are in high demand. The Manufacturing Certificate can provide you will foundational skills in manufacturing that translate to a variety of manufacturing careers.

The UC Clermont campus is on 92 wooded acres located in Batavia, Ohio, in the heart of Clermont County. We are relatively small and our faculty-to-student ratio is low. Class sizes are small and personal interaction with instructors is common, creating an ideal learning environment. Parking is convenient and at no additional charge and our tuition is the lowest of the UC colleges.
