Alumni Stories
We're proud of all our alumni and enjoy featuring their stories. Take a glance at just some of their educational and professional journeys.
R.J. Bryant’s journey to becoming a police officer in Newtown, Ohio, was anything but typical.
“I searched for the right path for a long time,” Bryant says. “Being a police officer is the first thing I can see myself doing for the next 30 years. If it’s something you’re thinking about, do it.”
Just 18 months after graduating high school, Emily Ogle will hold a University of Cincinnati bachelor’s degree in her hand — thanks to an early start at UC Clermont College.
“I loved UC Clermont,” Ogle says. “It has a small-campus feel because you can hang out in small groups around campus. Everyone was willing to help and direct me to opportunities that might have interested me, and they all wanted to see me succeed.”
Didion's path to journalism's top honor was not straightforward. Today, he relishes that every day on the job is different. He thanks UC Clermont for helping him find his calling and advises students not to be afraid to pursue their passions.
"If you're interested in something, give it a try," Didion said. "If you like it, throw yourself into it."
