The following annual scholarships are made possible by the generosity of our donors:
Amazing You Scholarship
Steve and Holly Young provide this scholarship to assist “amazing” incoming full- or part-time freshman students, who face financial challenges to attending UC Clermont College. Qualification is based on a demonstrated financial need, military service or first-generation college attendance. The scholarship is renewable and available to students in all fields of study.
American Modern Insurance Group Scholarship
A local insurance company, the American Modern Insurance Group, provides a scholarship to assist full-time students in achieving their academic goals. Eligible candidates must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Anderson Hills Pediatrics Scholarship
In the interest of fostering life-long growth from childhood through adulthood, Anderson Hills Pediatrics is proud to sponsor this scholarship at UC Clermont College. Anderson Hills Pediatrics provides one renewable $2,000 scholarship for full-time students (enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester) or two $1,000 scholarships for part-time students (enrolled in minimum of 6 credit hours per semester) with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Employees of Anderson Hills Pediatrics and/or their family members, current or former patients of Anderson Hills Pediatrics or students who have postponed their college education for at least five years are eligible.
Auxier Gas Scholarship
Auxier Gas, an active Batavia community member, provides scholarship funds each year to a student majoring in business or aviation.
Aviation Alumni Scholarship Fund
The Aviation Alumni Scholarship Fundis awarded to a student(s) who has declared Aviation as their major at UC Clermont College. The scholarship covers the costs of flight fees of the recipient(s).
Bachelor's in Applied Administration Legacy Scholarship
This scholarship has been established by the first class of Bachelor's in Applied Administration (BTAS) students along with faculty members in the Business, Law & Technology Department who want to assist future BTAS students in reaching their goal. Eligible candidates are full-time students enrolled in the BTAS program with a minimum 3.0 GPA who have demonstrated financial need.
Barbara R. Cronin Memorial Scholarship
The Barbara R. Cronin Memorial Scholarship has been established by her husband to fulfill the life-long dedication Barbara had for learning. Barbara not only had a love for literature and education, but she was also a strong women's advocate and passionate about women's rights and their success and achievements. The Barbara R. Cronin Memorial Scholarship supports an English Literature student enrolled in UC Clermont College's Liberal Arts program with preference given to a full-time student demonstrating financial need. If a full-time student cannot be identified, part time students will be considered.
Bauer Family Scholarship
Dr. Jeff Bauer, Dean of UC Clermont College, along with his family, provide this scholarship for a full-time second-year Business major who has maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA and actively volunteers in their community.
Bill & Peggy Hager Scholarship
Peggy Hager is a UC graduate, former faculty member and has volunteered with UC Clermont Athletics in many different capacities over the years. The Bill & Peggy Hager Athletic Scholarship is available to a student involved with UC Clermont Athletics with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Bonnie G. Camden Family Scholarship
The Bonnie G. Camden Family Scholarship recognizes the particular challenges that single parents face as they continue their education. Eligible candidates must be a single parent with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Bruce A. Ziegler Aviation Scholarship
Bruce Ziegler (brother-in-law of Dean Greg Sojka and brother to Jane Sojka) is a private pilot who obtained his pilot's license while earning a business degree at Indiana University. He and his family fund this scholarship for a first-year student in aviation so that other deserving individuals can have the opportunity to pursue their passion for flying.
Business, Law, and Technology Faculty Memorial Scholarship
The faculty representing the Business, Paralegal, and Information Technology programs provide this scholarship for a full-time student majoring in a program offered by the department who has maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA after completing a minimum of 12 credit hours in memory of the following BLT faculty: Ann M. Benoit, Professor Emeriti, Lindsay Danahy, Professor Emeriti, Daniel R. Dell, Associate Professor Emeritus, Lawrence E. Elliot, Associate Professor Emeritus, Frank Giglia, Associate Professor Emeritus, and Sue M. Trakas, Professor Emeriti.
Carey-Steck Family Scholarship
A.K. and Gibby Carey are committed to the value of a liberal arts education and have named a scholarship in honor of their mothers who instilled those values. Eligible students are those who had their education interrupted due to the need to work or raise a family.
Charles E. and Justine Romer Scholarship
Charles and Justine Romer want to ensure students pursuing a college education have the financial means to meet additional expenses associated with attending college. Eligible candidates must be academically achieving students.
Clermont Chamber of Commerce Foundation Scholarship
The Clermont Chamber of Commerce's purpose is to support business and industry in the county. Two scholarships are awarded each year to students employed by a Chamber member to assure an educated workforce in the community.
Clermont Chamber of Commerce Foundation Law Enforcement Scholarship
The Clermont County Citizen's Association Law Enforcement Association provides this scholarship for a Clermont County resident who agrees to actively seek employment with a law enforcement agency in the county.
Dave & Amy Elberfeld Family Scholarship
Dave and Amy Elberfeld believe that the pursuit of education is a foundation for personal success and family stability, as well as a means to enrich the community. This scholarship is available to first-generation college students with financial need who have delayed their education by five or more years to work or raise a family. Students in all fields of study are eligible for this scholarship.
Donald F. Lykins Memorial Scholarship
Lykins Oil Company provides superior quality and sound carrier services for today's petroleum industry and petroleum end users. Students eligible are Business majors who have completed a minimum of 24 hours. Students must also be a resident of Clermont County and have demonstrated a passion for entrepreneurship.
Elite Biomedical Solutions Scholarship
Elite Biomedical Solutions is a local company dedicated to providing healthcare organizations with the highest quality USA-made clinical equipment parts available. Eligible students will be enrolled in UC Clermont’s Manufacturing Engineering Technology program with demonstrated financial need.
Gajus Memorial Scholarship
Carl E. Gajus, a former UC professor in the College of Education, is the co-founder of the UC Clermont Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa, the international education honorary. Following his retirement, he remained active as an advisor and friend to the students of UC Clermont College. This scholarship is given to a second-year education major with a minimum 3.0 GPA who has a demonstrated commitment to the field of education.
Haastrup International Student Scholarship
Demilade Haastrup graduated from UC in 2016. During his time, he received a scholarship as an international student, and it made a significant impact on him. Demi believes in giving back and established the Haastrup International Student Scholarship Fund. Eligible candidates must be an international student enrolled full time.
Jeffrey W. Bosworth Memorial Scholarship
The Jeffrey W. Bosworth memorial scholarship was created in memory of and to honor Jeff Bosworth. He served a total of 28 years, combined active and reserves in the us navy plus numerous years educating people in the it industry. Jeff became the very "first" director of veterans affairs at UC Clermont and was an it professor. He was a teacher, a friend and mentor to many individuals and always believed that learning new things and ideas was a lifelong goal. A veteran student enrolled at UC Clermont College that has a least a 2.5 GPA is eligible for this scholarship.
Jessica Hains Memorial Scholarship
Mark and Diane Slagle provide this scholarship in remembrance of their niece, a former UC Clermont College student. Any UC Clermont College student who demonstrates financial need is eligible for this scholarship.
Katie Turning CPO Scholarship
The Clermont Philharmonic Orchestra not only provides professional quality concerts, but also serves as a leader in supporting music education for Clermont County schools. Graduating seniors from a Clermont County high school who have participated in some form of musical group consistently during high school (includes band, choir, church groups, orchestra, ensembles) are eligible for this scholarship.
Kelley Career Scholarship
Wanting to provide young adults in the workforce with an opportunity to go to college, Blaine Kelley, of UC Clermont College Admissions, provides a scholarship for an individual who delayed entry into college after high school. Eligible candidates must major in one of the career-oriented academic programs.
Kerr Danahy Scholarship
Lindsay Kerr Danahy, a former professor in Business Information Technology, created this scholarship to ensure that an eligible student had the financial means to complete the degree. This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student enrolled in Education, Business or Social Work degree curriculum. Preference shall be given to non-traditional, first-year students at Clermont College. Scholarships may be awarded to a prior scholarship recipient for a second academic year if necessary to allow the recipient to continue their education. The recipient must have maintained at least a 2.5 grade point average at Clermont College to be eligible for renewal funding.
L3 communications/KDI Precision Products, Inc. Scholarship
As a leading employer in Clermont County, L3 communications/KDI Precision Products wanted to ensure that their employees or employee family members had the financial opportunities available to pursue a college education. Eligible candidates must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
League of Women Voters Clermont County Janet Bramsen Memorial Scholarship
To be awarded to students at UC who demonstrate an interest in political science, journalism, communications or education. Recipients must be registered to vote, have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a scale of 4.0) and have demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to a student who is engaged in community service and/or student(s) who demonstrate leadership qualities. Men and women who are new, current or returning students are eligible for this scholarship and preference is given to a full-time student.
Lindell Family Scholarship
Carl and Ann Lindell wanted to give back to the community and company that have given them so much. They created a scholarship to aid L3 communications/KDI Precision Products, Inc. employees and their family members with tuition to UC Clermont. Students with a 3.0 GPA and a demonstrated financial need are eligible for this scholarship.
Lloyd B. and Irene Hollon Scholarship
Lloyd B. and Irene Hollon were strong supporters of public education in Clermont County and worked to make great changes to the Clermont Northeastern School District. UC Clermont Professor Karen Lankisch provides this scholarship in honor of her parents who valued and served public education. Her father served as a school board member and her mother taught for over 30 years. Mr. Hollon was also instrumental in the creation of UC Clermont College. Eligible students are graduates of Clermont Northeastern High School.
Marriott Scholarship
Former principal in elementary schools throughout the world, Keith Marriott, recipient of a UC Clermont College Instructor of the Year award, knows the work required to make an exceptional educator. Keith and Peg Marriott have created scholarships to assist future educators in obtaining their degrees. Scholarships are awarded to rising second-year education majors.
McDonough Scholarship
Dean Emeritus Jim McDonough and his wife Kathryn have established a scholarship to help single parent students complete their education. Eligibility is for a student who has a minimum 3.5 GPA and is a single parent with child custody.
Miami Township, Goshen and Loveland Citizen's Police Association Academy Scholarship Police Academy
This scholarship was established to assist UC Clermont College Police Academy Cadets from Miami Township, Goshen, and Loveland in paying supply fees required by the Academy. Recipients should either be residents of Miami Township, Goshen or Loveland and/or agree to employment with the Miami Township, Goshen or Loveland Police Departments. One award of $500 will be awarded to a student during each Police Academy session.
Neal & Karen Jeffries Scholarship
The Clough and Lorenz families are pleased to endow this scholarship in memory of Karen Jeffries and to recognize the many years of Manufacturing education provided by Dr. Neal Jeffries. This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student In UC Clermont's Applied Manufacturing Engineering Technology Program who as a GPA of at least 2.5.
Park National Bank Scholarship
Park National Bank is committed to serving our community and offers a scholarship to a business student with a similar commitment. Qualified applicants will be enrolled in a business program and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to students involved in community service.
Phillips Aviation Advantage Scholarship
Claire Phillips has provided incentive scholarships for academically achieving first year students in aviation to assist with flight fee costs and aid them in achieving their aviation goals.
Phillips Aviation Scholarship
Claire Phillips became the first American female corporate pilot in the time when women only went into teaching and nursing careers. Mrs. Phillips, CEO and co-founder of Phillips Industrial Supply, has provided funds to assist with flight fee costs for academically achieving aviation students who share her passion for flight.
Professor Maryl Fletcher DeJong Memorial Scholarship
The current and emeriti faculty of the college provide this scholarship to a student enrolled full time who has already completed a minimum of three credit hours in Fine Arts and is enrolled in Fine Arts or Art History courses with a 3.0 GPA.
River Hills Bank Scholarship
Business majors are eligible for this scholarship provided by River Hills Bank. A community member for 100 years, the bank believes in supporting Clermont County residents in meeting their academic goals.
Rocklin Brothers Scholarship
Members of the boomer generation, all of the Rocklin Brothers lived in the Milford area during the decade approaching 1960. While only one is in the area now, they have collectively established this scholarship to celebrate their kinship, and to assist students with a demonstrated financial need who delayed entry into college.
Santoro Engineering Scholarship
As a civil engineer, surveyor and community leader, Angelo Santoro wants to help future engineering students reach the professional goals that he has experienced in his career. Eligible students for this scholarship must be in an engineering-related major.
Sauls Family Scholarship
Jim, Sr. and Vivian Sauls believed in investing in the community and in being actively involved to better the quality of life for those around them. Eligible recipients of this scholarship are actively engaged in volunteer efforts within their community.
Sherrie and Fred Heyse Scholarship Fund
The Sherrie and Fred Heyse Scholarship Fundprovides scholarship(s) support to student(s) majoring in Geology or Allied Health who have completed at least 30 credit hours at UC Clermont College. Recipient(s) must have at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need.
Social Sciences Faculty Scholarship
The faculty of the Social Sciences Department provide this scholarship for a full-time student majoring in a program or area offered by the department who has maintained a minimum 3.5 GPA after completing a minimum of 12 credit hours at UC Clermont College (one semester). Evidence of a strong commitment to community service or other activities outside the classroom may be taken into consideration in evaluating candidates.
Sporty's Aviation Scholarship
The Sporty's Foundation mission is to ensure a healthy, quality aviation workforce for the next generation in the Cincinnati aviation community. This means working with students to create opportunities to learn about more professional aviation careers, expose them to aviation environments and provide opportunities to gain additional flight experience. To aid UC aviation students in this endeavor, Sporty's Foundation provides three scholarships to assist with flight fee costs for top aviation students who have completed the first-year aviation curriculum.
Steele-Pierce Scholarship
Dr. M.E. Steele-Pierce, a Clermont County educator, began her undergraduate degree at UC Clermont College ('82). A first-generation college student, she later went on to complete her bachelors and post-graduate degrees. The Steele-Pierce Scholarship supports a first-generation, second-year student pursuing any degree program.
Thomaston Woods Scholarship
The goal of St. Thomas Housing Corporation and Thomaston Woods Apartments is to provide affordable, safe, quality housing for individuals and families who seek an opportunity to strengthen their lives. Scholarships are awarded to Thomaston Woods residents enrolled as full- or part-time students at UC Clermont College.
UC Clermont College Allied Health Scholarship
The faculty and staff representing the allied health programs present this scholarship to a full-time student enrolled in an allied health associate degree program at UC Clermont College who has maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA after completing a minimum of 12 credit hours. The allied health associate degree programs include emergency medical services, multi-skilled health technology, physical therapist assistant, respiratory care and surgical technology.
UC Clermont College Distinguished Alumni Scholarship
The men and women previously honored as Distinguished Alumni of UC Clermont College understand the positive impact the college had on their life and career. Providing assistance to a deserving student will hopefully impact their college experience in a similar fashion; building a foundation for success. This scholarship is available to a student in any area of study.
Vorbeck Aviation Scholarship
Joe Vorbeck, former head flight instructor at Sporty's Academy, believed in the quality education received in the UC Clermont College Aviation program. The Vorbeck Aviation Scholarship helps students who have completed the first year aviation curriculum meet their academic and aviation goals by assisting with flight fee costs.
Walker Family Scholarship
Warren and Michele Walker continue to benefit from their education and relationships from UC Clermont College. An educated workforce attracts economic development and strengthens the communities where we live, work and play. This scholarship is available to students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering or math.
