Transition Events & College Sessions

Focus on Transition is a week of virtual information sessions and advising opportunities intended to provide a connection point for current Clermont College students who plan to transition to another college at UC to complete their degree. Students have the opportunity for direct contact with representatives from their college of choice and programs of interest that will help support their transition process. Students will connect with college representatives through information sessions, advising appointments and other offerings.

 

The Transition Fair is a spring semester event that provides more program and service connections as students prepare for the change of college transition.  The fair is a combination of in-person and virtual offerings intended to provide a connection point for current Clermont students who plan to transition to another college at UC to complete their degree.  Students have the opportunity for direct contact with representatives from their college of choice, services, and programs of interest that will help support their transition process. Students will connect with representatives through information sessions, advising appointments and other offerings.

Transition Advising by College

Transition advisors are available to provide students support as they prepare for transition from UC Clermont to other UC colleges. Please see below for information regarding contact with advisors in each college and Pre-Professional Advising.

Transition Advising Appointments

The transition advisor for CAHS, Katie Mosure, is available to answer questions via email and is available for appointments via phone/computer. Students can email Katie at  katie.mosure@uc.edu to request an appointment.

Transition Information Sessions

Students interested in a college change to pursue an academic program in CAHS are encouraged to attend a session to receive: 

  • An overview of CAHS undergraduate programs and their related careers
  • Admission requirements for transition students 
  • An individual curriculum guide showing how the student's credits apply to their major of interest 

Please register in advance at: Register for a Transition Session. Virtual sessions are available as follows: 

  • Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021 at 2:30–4 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 at 9:30–11 a.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021 at 1:30–3 p.m.

The transition advisor for CAS, LaDreka Karikari, is available for appointments via phone/computer for Clermont students interested in transitioning to a major or Exploratory in the College of Arts & Sciences.

Students should email LaDreka to request an appointment at artsci@ucmail.uc.edu.

The transition advisor for CCM is Joshua Chal.  Students may send inquiries about the application process to Joshua at chaljh@ucmail.uc.edu.

To explore a major in Business, sign-up for an information session and learn about what Lindner can offer you! Information sessions provide a brief presentation about the undergraduate degree programs in Lindner, the ability to review your business degree audit (advisement report) and receive individual advising.

Sign-ups close at 8 a.m. EST the day prior to the information session.

Transition Information Session
These sessions are designed to provide students with an overview of the criteria and process for applying to CEAS majors. These sessions will highlight ways to get involved in CEAS and bolster your resume prior to acceptance to your major.

Engineer Your Major
This program is offered during the fall semester. This conference style one-day event encourages students to attend sessions around their class schedules to build their network and deepen their understanding of what's possible in their selected disciplines. Engineer Your Major is also a perfect opportunity to explore the various disciplines in CEAS for students who are still choosing their best fit majors.

EYM will be held Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021 (registration required).
