Transition Events & College Sessions

Focus on Transition is a week of virtual information sessions and advising opportunities intended to provide a connection point for current Clermont College students who plan to transition to another college at UC to complete their degree. Students have the opportunity for direct contact with representatives from their college of choice and programs of interest that will help support their transition process. Students will connect with college representatives through information sessions, advising appointments and other offerings.

The next Focus on Transition will be held in October 2024.

The next Transition Fair will be held in February 2025.

The Transition Fair is a spring semester event that provides more program and service connections as students prepare for the change of college transition.  The fair is a combination of in-person and virtual offerings intended to provide a connection point for current Clermont students who plan to transition to another college at UC to complete their degree.  Students have the opportunity for direct contact with representatives from their college of choice, services, and programs of interest that will help support their transition process. Students will connect with representatives through information sessions, advising appointments and other offerings.

Transition Advising by College

Transition advisors are available to provide students support as they prepare for transition from UC Clermont to other UC colleges. Colleges also offer information sessions regarding program requirements and the transition process.

Transition Advising Appointment

For students who are considering a major in the College of Allied Health Sciences and are early on in their program (less than 30 credit hours), a CAHS admissions counselor, A’Jiana Birchmore, is available via email to answer questions and is available to talk with students via phone/computer. Students can email A’Jiana at birchmab@ucmail.uc.edu for more information or book a one on one meeting via this link.

For students who are over 30 credits hours and/or are ready to transition to a bachelor’s degree program in the College of Allied Health Sciences within the next few semesters, the transition advisor for CAHS, Lois Kwa, is available to answer questions via email and is available for appointments via phone/computer. Students can email Lois lois.kwa@uc.edu to request an appointment.

The transition advisor for CAS is available for appointments for Clermont students interested in transitioning to a major or Exploratory in the College of Arts & Sciences.

Spring 2024 Transition Advising for Clermont will be available virtually at 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM on these dates:

Students should email the Transition Advisor at artsci@ucmail.uc.edu to request an appointment on these dates or if an alternative date is needed.

Students looking to pursue Dental Hygiene, Nursing Technology, or Radiologic Technology at UC Blue Ash should start with a Pre-Appointment Activity Session to learn more about requirements to apply to these selective admissions programs: Blue Ash Pre-Appt Session Registration

Students looking to pursue Veterinary Technology can call the UCBA Advising Center to schedule an appointment with an advisor: 513-558-9442.

Information sessions hosted by the department are also available for selective admissions programs including Dental Hygiene, Medical Assisting, Nursing Technology, Radiologic Technology, and Veterinary Technology. The transition advisor for BFA programs (except Ballet) is Joshua Chal.  Students may send inquiries about the application process for those BFA programs to Joshua at chaljh@ucmail.uc.edu.

The transition advisor for BFA in Ballet and BA/BM programs is Gabriel Saba.  Students may send inquiries about the application process for BFA in Ballet, BA or BM programs to Gabriel at sabagg@ucmail.uc.edu .

To explore a major in Business, sign up for an information session below and learn about what Lindner can offer you! Information sessions are designed for students interested in Lindner for summer or fall 2024. Sessions are virtual, and are open to Main Campus, Blue Ash and Clermont students.

During the session, you will hear a brief presentation about Lindner's undergraduate degree programs, have the ability to review your business degree audit (advisement report) and receive individual advising.

Sign-ups close five business days prior to the information session. Register for an upcoming information session:

CEAS is offering Transition Drop-in Hours for students planning to college change to CEAS.

Students seeking information about requirements for college change, Math/Science GPA calculations, application steps or status, or assistance to schedule an appointment with a CEAS Advisor for more specific academic questions should connect with Olivia Schafer on Tuesdays for assistance.

Students must meet with a Public Health advisor prior to their Change of College application being processed.  Students can request an appointment on the form located at the Public Health Major Change web page.

The transition advisor for the College of Pharmacy, Corrine Sams (Director of Admissions), is available to answer questions about the admissions and application process to the PharmD program via email and for appointments via phone/computer.
