UC Clermont Respiratory Care students win 2023 Ohio State Sputum Bowl
Three students from the UC Clermont Respiratory Care Program have won Ohio’s 2023 Sputum Bowl, an annual trivia-style collegiate competition focused on respiratory care.
Respiratory therapists (RTs) are specialized clinicians focusing on the heart and lungs to assist patients in leading healthy active lives. RTs can be found in hospitals, nursing homes, home health care, diagnostic testing facilities and various other specialties. If you have passion for helping others, consider the Respiratory Care Program at UC Clermont.
These virtual one-hour sessions are for anyone planning to major in Respiratory Care or those interested in learning more about what the program offers.

Admission to the Respiratory Care (RC) Program is competitive, with up to 25 students admitted to the core level of the Respiratory Care Program each year. Once the prerequisites are complete, an application to begin the program can be submitted during the next application cycle.

2022
After successful completion of the first clinical semester, students can apply for a limited student permit (L1) in their desired state of practice. This limited permit allows students to work in a respiratory department, under the supervision of a respiratory care professional, while completing the respiratory care program.
