Workforce Training and WIOA
UC Clermont and the EXCITE Center provide workforce training for individuals and businesses.
Through employee training, custom programs, boot camps and community service programs, we are dedicated to upskilling, training and developing knowledgeable and talented employees for our region.
WIOA
UC Clermont offers many short-term academic programs leading to national career certifications and associate degrees that have been approved for Ohio’s WIET (Workforce Inventory of Education and Training).
UC Clermont is approved by the local Workforce Investment Board and Ohio Department of Job & Family Services to provide education and training that is funded through WIOA to assist qualifying individuals in gaining meaningful employment. More information about the WIET system can be found online.

Short-Term Certificate Grant
The UC Clermont Certificate Grant program provides eligible students with grants of up to $2,000 to cover tuition and fees for qualified short-term certificate programs.
Short-term certificate programs typically take less than one year to complete.
Short-term certificate programs provide skills needed to get started in a new career or earn a promotion.
Who is Eligible?
You must be an Ohio resident.
- You must meet qualifications for financial need.
- You must be 25 years of age or older for the Medical Biller/Coder, Physician Practice Management, Cancer Registry Management and Software Productivity certificates. There is no age requirement for Accounting Technology, Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) or Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
